Our Story
Our journey began in the temporary events sector with our sister company, DJ Marquees Ltd, founded in 2007. DJ Marquees specialises in luxury marquee rentals for Weddings, Private Parties, and Corporate Events. Initially focusing on Clear Span Marquees, we expanded into Stretch Tents in 2023, leading to the creation of The Shire Canopy Company.
From our very first Stretch Tent hire, we were captivated not only by their aesthetic appeal but also by their ease of assembly and transport. Transitioning from the multiple vans and trailers needed for Clear Span Marquees to a single van for the entire Stretch Tent setup was a breath of fresh air, especially with just a team of two/three required for the setup.
The image on the right showcases our very first Stretch Tent hire setup, proving that it was indeed as simple and easy as it appears.
We purchased our very first Stretch Tent at the Showman's Show, which I'm sure you will have attended over the years. We had no intention of buying or even looking at Stretch Tents; they weren't on the radar for us. However, upon discovering QTents showcasing a remarkable 10.5m x 15m Stretch Tent, we were compelled to explore further. The evident quality of the product led us to make our first Stretch Tent purchase there and then.
From the very beginning, we established an excellent partnership with Qtents, acquiring several structures in our first year. After a year of working together, QTents invited us collaborate with them in selling their products in the UK market. We were genuinely excited about this opportunity, as we truly admire and fully trust the quality of the tents they produce in The Netherlands.
